Issifu Kadiri Abdul Rauf is a dual-qualified legal practitioner in Ghana and Nigeria and an Associate at Claybrook Attorneys, where he contributes to the firm’s litigation, dispute resolution, regulatory advisory, and public interest law practice. He founded Claybrook Ghana, where he continues to function as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. He brings a multidisciplinary perspective to legal problem-solving, with diversified interests spanning advocacy, Maqasid Sharia, alternative dispute resolution, environmental justice, and climate change negotiations.
Kadiri combines courtroom advocacy with policy-oriented legal work, advising and representing clients in commercial disputes, corporate compliance matters, family and probate issues, property-related claims, and negotiated settlements.
His growing practice at Claybrook Attorneys also extends to mediation support, pre-litigation strategy, and advisory services for individuals, corporate entities, and non-governmental organizations, aligning with the firm’s commitment to delivering practical and impact-driven legal solutions.
Beyond private legal practice, Kadiri has demonstrated strong engagement in environmental governance and sustainable development. In his capacity as Programme Director at Environmental Justice Ghana, he actively contributed to the policy discussions that culminated in Ghana’s Intended Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Climate framework, reflecting his depth of experience in climate advocacy and international environmental negotiations.
He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators in Nigeria, further strengthening his competence in mediation and conciliatory processes. This complements his litigation background and enhances his effectiveness in resolving disputes through both adversarial and alternative mechanisms.
