Babs Ayanrinde Esq. is a highly qualified legal practitioner with over fourteen years’ experience spanning the United Kingdom and Nigeria, and currently serves as Compliance Officer and Litigation Strategist at Claybrook Attorneys. He brings a rare blend of international legal exposure, regulatory compliance expertise, and courtroom advocacy to the firm’s litigation, immigration advisory, employment law, consumer protection, and civil claims practice.
A Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Advocate of England & Wales, Babs specialises in UK immigration and nationality law, consumer law, tortious liability, and civil litigation, and is also a trained mediator.
He is a UK Commissioner for Oaths and a practising barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, enabling him to advise and represent clients across jurisdictions with practical insight and procedural precision.
He began his academic journey with a degree in Biomedical Science from the University of East London before transitioning into law, completing a Graduate Diploma in Law at Northumbria University. He later obtained an LL.B (Hons) and an LL.M in Law and Human Rights from Birkbeck, University of London, alongside a postgraduate diploma from CILEX Law School.
Babs subsequentlyfounded Babs & Co Legal, a specialist practice accredited at Level 3 by the Immigration Advice Authority. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients in more than 500 immigration matters before UK courts and has provided legal services to over 2,000 clients from diverse backgrounds, maintaining a strong commitment to access to justice and client-centred advocacy.
His professional memberships include the Immigration Law Practitioners Association, the Association of Black Lawyers UK, the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. He also holds a professional certificate in Compliance, Know Your Customer, and Client Due Diligence from the International Compliance Association.
Called to the Nigerian Bar in 2021, Babs now draws on his extensive UK experience to support Claybrook Attorneys’ growing cross-border practice. His areas of focus include immigration advisory, employment disputes, consumer protection, tortious liability, regulatory compliance, and civil litigation. As a certified compliance and ethics officer, he additionally provides strategic guidance on corporate governance, risk management, and due diligence, strengthening the firm’s commercial advisory and dispute resolution offerings.
